PETS | Forcing the idea of Chinese New Year on our cats

cats on chinese new year 01

I know, how cute is our dear Kwittie Boy. But he's not happy at all that all these New Year's Eve paraphernalia are being shoved in his face. And apparently our three other cats share the same feeling. Well, it's Chinese New Year and I thought we could use all those old cardboard trumpets for fun. It's still a New Year celebration, right?

So what happens when you force this idea of Chinese New Year (even though we're not Chinese) on all four of our furry friends? Here's what...

Thordis couldn't reconcile this thingy's connection to Chinese New Year.

Clueless Foreman. Or not.

Little Boy (yes, that's his name) sees a toy and he's bound to snatch it.

And when you're trying to coax them into blowing the trumpets to make some noise in welcoming the new year...

Kwittie Boy's expression says it all.

Thordis's deadpan refusal.

Oh, Little Boy...

And of course the cardboard trumpets also serve as fun hats...

Oh yes, Kwittie Boy, here we go.
